Project Overview
I am currently leading a project at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) to implement and use machine learning tools to improve search and discovery of datasets
My Contributions
This is currently an on-going project. The first part of the project was a keyword extraction algorithm, which I used tools such as numpy, scikit learn, and other machine learning and NLP toolkits. The current project I am working on is implementing a data imputation tool that is able to complete missing meta data, there are currently multiple techniques we are looking at, but the most prominent ones are Deep Learning on graphs and Imputation using Multivariate Imputation by Chained Equation (MICE).
CAIRO is a lab based in the Computer Science department at CU Boulder, which focuses on algorithms that enable artificially intelligent agents and robots to safely and effectively collaborate with humans. I have been working on an independent study project that was centred on creating a machine learning algorithm that is able to pick out “good” portraits out of a test set using tensorflow, keras, OpenCV and other tools.
